A Pillbox Hat From Home

I’ve been collecting hats for a long time. it’s an impulse I got from my dad, who also collects hats. I have very few memories in which he isn’t wearing one. My siblings also collect hats. It’s a hobby we all love and share.

My father works for a retirement home where he plays memory games with alzheimer’s patients. It’s an amazing job and perfect for him because it plays to his creativity and strengths. It has also brought out an amazing compassion in him.

One day, one of his patients passed away and this hat belonged to her. There are very few hats that hold as much sentimental value as this one.
